OPPORTUNITIES

Enter three poems in the Byron Bay Writers Festival annual poetry prize and be in the running for a first prize of $300 and runner up prizes of $150 each. All entrants must be available to read their poems on the night of the festival Poetry Evening on Saturday July 26. Closing date for entries is Wednesday 25 June at 4pm. More details here

Flick through the channels on the television. Stop long enough to hear a character in a TV show say one sentence. Use this sentence to begin your story.
